This project was developed as the final assignment for a Desktop Publishing course in Madrid and forms part of an Editorial Design Collection created over two and a half months of intensive study. The project brought together the editorial design, layout and production skills developed throughout the course, from the initial concept to the preparation of the final print-ready files.
The project consisted of designing a complete ramen recipe book, combining conceptual development, creative direction, editorial design and final artwork preparation. Rather than focusing solely on the visual outcome, the process involved developing the publication as a cohesive editorial product, with careful consideration given to both its aesthetic identity and its technical requirements for print.
I was responsible for defining the concept and theme of the publication, selecting and organizing the content, writing and adapting the texts, developing the visual direction and sourcing photography that complemented the overall identity. I also designed and illustrated the cover and developed the interior layout, establishing a consistent visual system throughout the publication.
The project allowed me to approach editorial design as a complete process, from concept and art direction to layout and production, while strengthening my ability to make creative and functional decisions within the practical requirements of professional print production.
